1, 2. Ledger name and handle

The name is how you most commonly identify a ledger while its handle is a unique identifier that is used in the ledger’s URL.

3. Default currency

This currency will be used by default when creating new transactions unless otherwise specified.

4. Presets

Presets add default configurations to a ledger based on a user’s needs––they can create specific accounts, dashboards, smart views, etc.

All presets should be defined here (TBD)

5. Members

Members can be quickly added by writing their email address in the input field. All members inside a ledger have real-time access to all its data.

Protip: To add a user without an Alka account, contact support so access can be provided for them.

Bank Connections

Accounts can be connected through one of Alka’s integrations such as connection providers (Plaid, Yodlee, etc.), CSV import, Splitwise and many more.
