One thing you might want to do when tracking assets such as private investments is to also keep track of which industries each one of them belong to.

This is easily done in Alka by adding custom labels to your accounts.

1. Add label to account.

After opening an account's detail view (cmd + j then search for account), open the Omnibar (cmd + k) then search for the "Add label" action and select an available label from the list or create a new one from scratch.

2. Create investment view.

Create a new accounts view from scratch via the "Create" command (c) or by clicking on the + icon next to Accounts on the navigation sidebar.

3. Filter for investment accounts.

In the Filters panels, add a filter that searches for all investment accounts.

4. Group accounts by label.

Open the customize panel by clicking on the pencil icon in the top right corner of your panel or with the shortcut opt + /.

Add a new column and select the "Labels" field, then add a grouping and select the "Labels" field once again.
